The opening weekend of Serie A lived to its billing although one or two games went against the prediction of analysts.
Now the stage is set for matchday 2 games and there are some tantalizing fixtures that have attractive odds courtesy of your trusted betting site Betpay.
The star fixture for the weekend will taking place at the Capital where Roma will be hosting defending champions Juventus
The Romans dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Verona in the “City of Love”, and, no doubt, they face an uphill task in Sunday’s showdown.
However, as expected, the Bianconeri kicked off the new Serie A campaign with a 3-0 win over Sampdoria.
Juve can ride the high of their victory over Sampdoria to earn another win when they travel to the Olimpico.
In the corresponding fixture last season, Juve opened up a 2-0 lead inside 10 minutes but that said the scenriao is not same going into Sunday’s game.
There is a high likelihood that both teams wills score and on Betpay a juicy 1.60 odds is up for grabs.
Everything is also pointing to at least a goal in the first half so for Over 0.5 in the first half Betpay is putting 1.30 odds on the table
I am pushing for Juventus to win away from home and that attracts 2.00 odds
Prediction
Roma 1-2 Juventus

Other games
Torino v Atalanta
This is the first competitive game for Atalanta since suffering late heartbreak against Paris Saint-Germain in last season’s Champions League.
They’ll be confident of taking all three points against a Torino side without a win in their last six Serie A games, stretching back to mid-July, especially given their 7-0 win in the corresponding fixture last season. This game should produce goals and over 2.5 which on Betpay attracts 1.50 odds
Another away win is likely and that is of 1.65 odds on Betpay
Prediction
Torino 1-3 Atalanta
Cagliari v Lazio
Lazio have Champions League football to look forward to after last season’s fourth-place finish, henc you will expect them to hit the ground running as they begin with a trip to Cagliari, where they needed two late goals to win from behind last season… Both sides are expected to find the back of the net in this and Betpay offers
Lazio appears stronger going into this and with no home cheering anyone, the away side have some edge
For away win Betpay offers 1.65 odds
Prediction
Cagliari 1-2 Lazio
Sampdoria v Benevento
Benevento begin their first campaign back in Serie A with the same fixture which began their last season at this level. Sampdoria are favourites to take all three points despite being soundly beaten by Juventus last time out.
Home win attracts an astonishing 2.00 odds from Betpay
Prediction
Sampdoria 2-0 Benevento

Inter Milan v Fiorentina
After losing out by just one point in the title race last season, Inter will be confident of a title push this season and they have home advantage in the opener. Though this fixture produced two draws in 2019/20, we expected Antonio Conte’s men to nick this one
Inter winning at home has 1.55 0dds from Betpay
Prediction
Inter 3-0 Fiorentina
Spezia v Sassuolo
Last season’s Serie B play-off winners Spezia begin the new season by hosting a Sassuolo side which endured a mixed end to the 2019/20 season. Vincenzo Italiano’s side could get a home draw against their opponents
4.00 odds by Betway for a draw is worth investing on
Prediction
Spezia 1-1 Sassuolo
Napoli v Genoa
Both of these sides began their Serie A season with a win, but Napoli are heavily favoured to make it two from two after keeping Parma quiet first time out. Nigeria international Victor Osimhen could also open his goal scoring account in this tie.
A clean sheet for the home team on Betpay has 1.95 odds
For home team win with minimal risk. 1.30 odds is offered by Betpay
Prediction
Napoli 3-0 Genoa

Crotone v AC Milan
After roundly beating Bologna in their opener, Milan will be confident of getting past this newly promoted side to make it two wins in two games.
Opponents Crotone were very generous to Genoa upon their Serie A return, and they would likely be exploited by the visitors on Sunday
The odds offered by Betpay for the away team to win is 1.55
Prediction
Crotone 1-3 AC Milan
Bologna v Parma
After a tough start at the San Siro, Bologna have a chance to get points on the board against a Parma side which also got off to a losing start. This game throws up many options with BTTS at 1.65 odds and over 2.5 goals at 1.70 odds
A win for the home team as a massive 1.95 odds from Betpay
Prediction
Bologna 2-1 Parma
