Alaba is a versatile player and can operate as a play centre back, left-back, or in his preferred position in central midfield would make him a real asset to Zinedine Zidane’s side.

The Austrian defender has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with the German outfit, he won nine Bundesliga titles, six German Cups and two Champions League trophies – admitted that he found out the club had withdrawn their new contract offer ‘on the news’, he would be a good addition to Real Madrid but Real Madrid need to free up space to accommodate the Austrian star with Marcelo likely to leave at the end of the current campaign.

Would Real Madrid turn up for Alaba? or is this just a mere rumour linking the veteran defender to the Spanish capital?
